About US
Our mission at Northwest Missouri State University Esports (NWMSU) is to fulfill the needs of all students and provide them with a safe place to develop themselves into leaders in their respective fields.

Whether you’re a competitive gamer, a casual gamer, or have never played video games before, NWMSU aims to provide a community for every student. We empower students in their pursuit of a customized and enriching academic journey at NWMSU, fostering an environment where they can shape their own student experience. With this commitment, we aim to nurture and cultivate our students' leadership potential, ensuring their seamless transition into leadership roles within their respective industries upon graduation. We develop our students through: Competitive, Club, Casual, Careers, Classroom, and Community experiences.

  • League of Legends
  • Overwatch 2 
  • Rocket League
  • Valorant  

Varsity Player and Varsity Managers on each team are scholarship eligible.

Want to come play some games? Visit the Esports Lab during our open play hours every Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-10:00 p.m.

At NW Esports Lab, on the third floor of the J.W. Jones Student Union, provides a unique opportunity for students with an interest in gaming or those seeking access to high-tier gaming PC's. Each of our PCs is equipped with gaming hardware, ensuring seamless performance during gameplay. 

Open Recreation Hours

Monday: 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Tuesday: 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Thursday: 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Friday: 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Saturday/Sunday: Must be reserved.


Esports Club has given me a place to feel like I belong. During these troubling times I was able to stay connected with friends and maintain social activity while playing games that I love.
